One Goal Day
On Thursday 1st July, we all took part in the campaign 1GOAL - Send My Friend to School. The campaign highlights the need to provide education for all children, no matter where they live in the world. In 2000, world leaders promised that by 2015 all primary children would be able to go to school. There are currently 72 million children who don't go to school. Half of these children live in Africa. We decided to remind them of that promise.
We wrote letters to send to the Prime Minister and we made a giant scarf with messages reminding him to keep his promises. In September, world leaders will meet at the UN to see hwo much progress they're making on this goal. We'll keep you posted.
