St. Georges Day
To celebrate St Georges day all the children in the school made their own St Georges day biscuits!
St. George was an important Roman Soldier who was killed because he stood up to the Roman Emperor who was persecuting the Christian soldiers. In doing this he had to admit to the Roman Emperor that he himself was a Christian. This must have been a really diffucult thing to do as he would have known that the Emperor would kill him.
No matter what the Emperor offered to give him St George refused to say that he was not a Christian,so the Emperor had St George executed .
