IMPETUS AWARD!

On the 3rd of June 2009, six representatives from our school went to the Dryden centre to do a presentation in order to try and achieve the impetus award. We had to do a presentation to Impetus assessors about the work we had been doing about Human rights and how we could take action to help by learning about, selling and buying fairtrade products. They were impressed with our knowledge about UNICEFs Rights of the child and how we had helped people from other countries have these rights by doing our project. We had worked hard completing workbooks and they told us that they really liked them. We were really pleased when they told us that we had achieved the award.

Hello

I am very impressed with your website. My nephew's children Cameron and Oliver Stokoe attend St Philips' as I did from 1961 until 1968. Things look very different now to when I attended school. Congratulations on achieving the Impetus award and I like the idea of school buddies as I hate the thought of anyone being bullied. I was a good swimmer and represented the school at the swimming gala at Dunston baths and set a record for freestyle. Its so long ago I do not think there will be any trace of it. Well done everyone
