IMPETUS AWARD!
On the 3rd of June 2009, six representatives from our school went to the Dryden centre to do a presentation in order to try and achieve the impetus award. We had to do a presentation to Impetus assessors about the work we had been doing about Human rights and how we could take action to help by learning about, selling and buying fairtrade products. They were impressed with our knowledge about UNICEFs Rights of the child and how we had helped people from other countries have these rights by doing our project. We had worked hard completing workbooks and they told us that they really liked them. We were really pleased when they told us that we had achieved the award.

Anti-Bullying Award
On the 10th of June 2009 two assessors from the Anti-Bullying award came to our school to see if our school had met all the standards needed to achieve the award. The assessors needed to interview Mrs Fraser, Mr Hattam and two school governors. They also needed to speak to two school buddies and two Peer Mediators. The school buddies were: Adam Donaldson and Alex Pickett. The Peer Mediators were: Bradley Rochester- Smith and Grace Ridley.
The assessors were very pleased with our school and told us that we had achieved our Anti-Bullying Award.

Girls Football team- Win Bronze!
On June the 11th 2009 girls from class 4 took part in a football tournament against other local primary schools. There were 7 teams in all and we came third and all won bronze medals. We played 6 games altogether and had to play a very hard team from St Josephs Blaydon, but we managed not to concede any goals and drew 0-0. We had lots of fun and tried our hardest. We really enjoyed playing.
