Year 5 School Linking day project with Kelvin Grove
The children from Year 5 have been working with the Year 5 children from Kelvin Grove, to get to know children from another school who come from different backgrounds and cultures to ourselves. The first meeting was at Shipley art gallery where we worked with our partner from Kelvin Grove to make identity flags and to draw each others portraits. We also played games to get to know each other better. Our next linking day is at Kelvin Grove on the 5th of May and they are coming to visit us in June!

This is the Child Friendly version of our Anti-Bullying policy which is currently under review. I would be grateful for any feedback, comments or suggestions that anyone may have about the policy.This can be done online, by telephone, in writing or of course speaking to myself or another member of staff.

Anti-Bullying Policy(Parents Guide)
The school is currently undergoing its annual review of its anti-Bullying Policy, and as part of that process we are undergoing consultation with Parents and carers. For this purpose I have enclosed the Anti-Bullying parents guide on the website for parents and carers to read. I have also enclosed the Child friendly guide. I would be very grateful for any comments or opinions you may have on these policies. If you would like to comment you can do this by adding a comment online, by telephone, in writing or by making an appointment to speak to myself or another member of staff. This will enable us to ensure we have a fully inclusive and effective Anti-Bullying policy.

World Book Day 2009
World Book Day was another great success. Everyone joined in and dressed as a book character. We had four winners dressed as; one of the three pigs, the Knave of Hearts, Jack Sparrow and Marge Simpson. Well done! Get reading for next year WHO WILL YOU BE!!
