We had fabulous time today when the 'Expo Chef' visited school. She taught us how to make healthy burgers, smoothies and vegetable casserole. Even the children who didn't like vegetables loved the casserole!! Look out for your recipe book coming your way!

8th and 9th of June were exciting days for Year 2. Textile designer Donna Cheshire came in to work with Year 2. She designed a banner based on a Gospel quote from Luke Chapter 18 "Let the children come to me". The children learnt to felt and print designs. Come in and take a look at our finished banner. It looks amazing if we don't say so ourselves!

St Philip's Fun Day

Today is the feast day of our patron saint - St Philp Neri. We are all really excited as the PTA have organised a 'Fun Day' to celebrate. We are having collective worship this morning then in the afternoon there is a bouncy castle, table tennis, a steel band, crazy golf, games, quizzes and food and drink from around the world. We are using the theme of cultures from around the world as it celebrates people from every corner of our earth and we are studying it in our creative curriculum.

Help for Haiti

To help our brothers and sisters in Haiti, after their country had been devastated by the recent earthquake, we decided to hold a Fairtrade coffee morning on Friday after our community collective worship. While our parents were in school having coffee and cakes we cleaned their cars - for a small charge! The teachers even let us clean their cars! We managed to raise a whooping £330 - which was doubled through the involvement of one of our parents. Thank you so much to everyone who supported us.
Please see our photo gallery to catch us in action!

School Buddies 2009-2010.JPG
Hello everyone,
We are the School Buddies. Our job is to make sure that everyone in the school yard is happy and has someone to play with. It is also our job to spot people who have fallen out and help them find a peer mediator to help them sort out their problems. You can spot us by the buddy caps that we wear at playtimes or you can stand at the buddy stop and one of us will come and help you.
