Well done to Class 1 who had the best attendance last term! Their fantastic reward was a trip to Dunston Activity Centre to have a session on the soft play. They had a great time, especially on the bouncy castle! Take a look in the gallery to see more photos of their visit. Watch out to see who wins this terms reward.
It was another fantasic performance by key stage 1 on Tuesday. 'Its a baby!' wowed the audience with it's great songs, narrators and actors. We had shepherds, stars, angels,kings,sheep and not forgetting Mary and Joseph! Everyone looked amazing!
On Thursday we had our Christmas Fair! There were lots of stalls and prizes to be won. The PTA had some great activities for us and we even fund raised for our own class world gifts. Everyone had a great time and we raised lots of money. Thank you to everyone who helped to organise it and to everyone who came and supported the event. Merry Chrismas!
On Wednesday it was party time in key stage 1! There was lots of games and lovely food to eat. We had a great time. We all looked amazing in our party clothes.
It was party time in Key Stage 2 on Tuesday. We had a boogy and played loads of games. It was great fun. We enjoyed our party food and even tried some mulled wine (non-alcoholic off course!). Take a look in the gallery to see all the festivities!
Christmas has arrived at St.Philip's. On Tuesday we raised a super amount of money for Class 1's World Gift. Everyone enjoyed the mince pies and a few brave souls were tempted to try our delicious mulled wine! We'll have to wait and see what Class 1 will buy with their funds.
We thought we'd give you a little taste of things to come! Just a little sneaky peak at some of our actors. Not long to wait for "It's a Baby" on Tueaday 13th December at 10 o'clock. On Wednesday the St. Philip's Choir set out to the Metro Centre to entertain the shoppers. The choir sang carols and read parts of the Nativity Story, and finished off with some favourite Christmas songs! They drew quite a crowd and we're sure they spread a little Christmas cheer to all the shoppers.
The whole school went to see Sleeping Beauty at the Theatre Royal. It was fun and scary at the same time! There was baddies BOO HISS!!!! and lots of goodies HORRAY!
On Thursday we had a visit from Micheal Glickman. He talked to us about the Jewish faith. We learnt about Jewish signs and symbols. He showed us items used and worn in the Jewish faith. To learn more, go to the gallery.
